Poppy & Crumb (Single Page Site)
Project Type
Front-End Development, Web Design
Date
January 2024
I developed a standalone webpage using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for a client. This page needed to feature a contact form, support both light and dark modes, display products, and include a cost calculator. I drew inspiration from my sister’s business. My goal was to try and condense her
current website into a one-page website. I drew inspiration from my sister’s business. My goal was to try and condense her current website into a one-page website.
I began by analyzing the existing website to identify unnecessary features and opportunities for improvement. Using Figma, I created low-fidelity wireframes to visualize the structure and overall feel of the single-page design. From there, I set up a GitHub repository and used VS Code to develop the site using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I incorporated real assets from the client’s business to ensure authenticity and alignment with their brand. Once the build was complete, I published the final version on GitHub for public viewing.
The outcome of the assignment was successful. It achieved satisfactory results, with most features working as intended. It was completed on time with only minor issues. The final results can be viewed on GitHub at https://cabacon1.github.io/GIT417Final/ and on Behance at https://www.behance.net/gallery/214207303/Poppy-and-Crumb-GIT-417-Final.
